Administrative Assistant

Cummins Bridgeway, LLC is looking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant-Power Generation in the New Hudson Corporate Office.
Job Summary:
Responsible for a full range of administrative support for administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform typing and filing assignments for supervisor and other personnel as assigned.
- Independently prepare routine reports and correspondence.
- Proof read reports, forms, minutes, etc.
- Receive, sort and reroute mail as appropriate.
- Answer routine calls where appropriate and respond in a timely manner.
- Make, monitor and confirm travel plans for supervisor and other personnel, as assigned.
- Coordinate arrangements for meetings as directed.
- Maintain proper level of computer and office supplies as assigned.
- Assist customers as necessary.
- Assist other personnel as necessary.
- Operate Lotus Notes to effectively communicate with other entities in the Cummins network.
- Other administrative duties as required to obtain the objectives of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or trade school plus three years secretarial/administrative experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have solid background and experience with computers
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Windows based software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Efficient and accurate typing skills
- Strong knowledge of basic grammatical and spelling skills.
- Effectively communicate one on one and in small groups with employees, managers, customers, vendors and the public.
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Pleasant and professional demeanor with employees, managers, customers, vendors and the public.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment (i.e. telephone system, printer, fax, copier, etc.)
- Maintain high degree of confidentiality.
